Heino Brand is a musician, songwriter, and composer from the Cape of Storms in South Africa.

He is also a visual designer and has worked on over 100 album covers and other promotional material for various bands since 2010. Apart from receiving a few years of guitar lessons, he is a mostly self-taught musician and composer. His work is primarily inspired by his love for comic books, fantasy & sci-fi stories, 90's and early 2000's video games, and film soundtracks.

In 2020 he started the dark fantasy metal project, Brundarkh along with fellow musician and producer, Caleb Bingham. In 2023 they released their debut album featuring guest musicians from Wolfheart, Before the Dawn, Mors Principium Est, and Eternal Tears of Sorrow.

Due to his growing interest and passion for orchestral music, both in the traditional sense and more contemporary (television and video games), he also creates similar music under his name and Maanskild. In 2023 he was joined by the string quartet, Stage Strings from The Netherlands, who performed his composition, A Lament. Through his music and visual designs he aims to tell immersive stories that hopefully evoke a deeper emotional response and serve as a tribute to the work of yesteryears that have inspired him.
